toddlers 2-3 year olds development:

  • Promote language development through books, songs, and music.

  • Encourage autonomy by helping children learn to do things for themselves, such as eating, dressing, and other basic daily skills.

  • Support gross motor development through running, climbing, rolling, balancing, coordination, and body control activities.

  • Plan activities based on children’s interests to foster engagement and meaningful learning.

  • Maintain open communication with parents and consider the child’s home environment.

  • Support social and emotional development by encouraging sharing, taking turns, playing together, verbalizing feelings, and regulating and expressing basic emotions.

  • Promote positive sleep and healthy eating habits.

  • Expand language skills through richer vocabulary, more complex books, songs, and music.

  • Encourage movement skills such as catching, throwing, rolling, and balancing.

  • Offer larger and more structured circle-time activities.

  • Encourage cooperative play and interaction with peers.

  • Introduce educational themes through dramatic play (e.g., community helpers, travel, animals), based on children’s interests.

  • Place greater emphasis on toileting and potty training.

  • Ensure consistent communication with parents.
